My favorite project to create was the Sgraffito plate because it stood out from the other projects and I was able to make something that has sentimental value to me.
I struggled tracing my sgraffito because accuracy is so important and if your hand drags a little, your piece is ruined. I overcame this by taking my time and not letting the fear of failure overcome the simplicity of patience.
I grew over this semester because Ceramics is a class of independence. The first few projects I always asked for advise and reassurance and by the end I was able to sculpt with confidence. My pieces have got progressively better by having patience, smoothness, and better details.
